Victorian papier-mache fitted jewelry chest, 19th c., having hinged scalloped top with raised cartouche with mother of pearl shell inlay depicting village cityscape, opening to divided interior, five of the compartments padded with silk lining, parcel gilt and inlaid shell foliates throughout, hinged double doors opening to seven drawers with carved pulls and continuation of gilt and shell chip decoration, rising on scalloped pedestal base, approx 12 1/8"h, 12"w, 9.5"d, 8.5lbs **Provenance: A prominent Terrytown, Austin, Texas estate**
