03/17/2026- In my opinion regarding LOT: 1176- please note that I am not an expert on such works, so have taken numerous high-resolution images for your review, a careful UV light examination reveals a heavy aged varnish layer, some inherent surface texture and slight age-related craquelure visible throughout, I note scattered areas of inpainting primarily concentrated along the outer edges and within the darker passages of the composition, consistent with prior localized conservation, the paint layer remains stable and the colors appear vibrant with visible brushwork and texture retained, the board is overall intact, the frame shows areas of discoloration, gilt wear, scattered rubs and minor abrasions, along with typical stress lines at the joins and minor handling wear, all consistent with age, handling and display
