04.21.2026- In my opinion regarding LOT 2171: I note that the commode stands sturdy, having typical minor chips to the edges of marble top, which is free from observed hairlines/ fractures, with a minute glue repair to a small piece of marble along the front edge (see image), the marble also having abrasions throughout commensurate with age and use, as well as light fading, the drawers operate smoothly, with a small chipped loss to one of the escutcheons, and some scattered small veneer chips, as are typical and consistent with use, also having minute evidence of old woodworm commensurate with origin
