04.21.2026- In my opinion regarding LOT 2172: I note that the commode is structurally sturdy, the marble top having typical minor chipping along the edges, the secretary drawer opens smoothly, with a worn inset writing surface that exhibits light fading, peeling, and a small area of lifting, however the top remains securely inset, I observe some typical small veneer chips, and a few scattered small splits that remain stable, the veneer also with tonal variations associated with light fading and spotting, as well as a few small finish touch ups, and an area of finish loss above the right-hand front foot (see images), all being commensurate with age and use, the right side panel is secure with filled reinforcement of a seam of separation
