French Louis XV style inlaid walnut commode, 19th c., having marble top with canted angles, over conforming case with shallow breakfront, inlaid throughout with banded parquetry and stringwork trim, fitted with three drawers, rising on cabriole legs, approx 35"h, 44.5"w, 22.5"d
CR 1.5.26 - In my opinion regarding LOT: 3273 - the commode is in sturdy and stable condition, the marble top exhibits scattered typical small chips/roughness along the molded edges top and bottom, there is a larger chip to the rear corner, see images, I further note some light spotting and dirt, the top would benefit from a good cleaning, the case is stable and intact with drawers sliding well, inlays show some expected small losses, the lowest drawer exhibits slight raised veneer at right quadrant, case further displays tonal variation, light wood wear and evidence of old wood worm, interiors are in a red patterned liner, please refer to online images for photos of side panels, as I am unable to access them, all mentioned commensurate with origin, age and use
