Ribelin (1933-2010) through inheritance to consignor. This lot was examined via photograph by a highly regarded specialist in Native American and ethnographic art.** **Note: Please consult the condition section for limited observations made by our staff during a visual examination of the lot.** 8.23.26- In my opinion regarding: I am not an expert on prehistoric pottery, its condition, conservation or restoration types or techniques, I have taken numerous images for your reference, the jar is overall intact, it sits askew as the base is irregular as it was made, a UV light examination does not reveal any broad areas of fluorescence, there are scattered pinpoint pits that fluoresce white, I observe some overall color variation, discoloration and spotting, the rim shows several chips, there are divots, pitting, small nicks, surface crazing with some hairlines, one particularly noted to the rim, imperfections, abrasions and wear, due to the shape I am unable to fully access the interior, please refer to high-resolution images for your review Detailed condition reports are not included in this catalog. For additional information, including condition reports, please utilize the ASK A QUESTION tab found in each lot. All lots are sold as-is and where-is.
