04.27.2026- In my opinion regarding LOT: 3297-  the commode is in sturdy and stable condition, the top is intact, a UV light examination reveals an old professional restoration, see images, I further note a few areas professional stabilization to the stone, likely from the time of manufacture, there are typical small chips along edges and back, the case is stately, I note some typical small restorations, minor wood rubs, small losses and nicks, drawers slide well, interiors are largely clean, gilt bronze mounts retain a bright patina with some noted mellowing and rubs, overall the piece is impressive exhibiting characteristics commensurate with age and use
